Personal Development:
Our students learn values and attributes related to strong moral character. We emphasize the importance of discipline, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. These are the five tenets of Tae Kwon Do. We focus on the development of these qualities repetitively. Without question, students must learn these fundamental qualities early on in life in order to develop strong values. Our belt promotion curriculum combines goal orientation along with other learning dynamics to help develop strong character and values. We know that students who feel good about themselves and have the tools to make good decisions lead healthier, happier lives.
Physical Development:
Physical Development is a critical component to the development of any child. Strength, coordination, flexibility, and balance are just a few of the benefits that our students enjoy with regular attendance. One of the most important physical benefits we teach is the art of self-defense, in which the student will become confident of their own physical ability. This will make them an unlikely target for bullying at school. It is very important that a child feel secure with their own natural survival instincts. Our instructors teach our students that there is a proper time and place to kick and punch, and we teach our students to never use their martial arts training in an aggressive manner.
